This directory contains the research data published in the paper by Michael F. Faulkner and Samuel Livingstone entitled: Sampling algorithms in statistical physics: a guide for statistics and machine learning It consists of .pdf, .png, .tsv and .npy files. The .pdf and .png files are figures created based on the simulation data contained in the .tsv and .npy files. The .tsv and .npy files were created using the GitHub repos detailed below. The repos can be used to perform Monte Carlo simulations and then analyse the Monte Carlo outputs. We did this using the supercomputer BlueCrystal 4 at the University of Bristol. The column headings are labelled in each .tsv file. All units of measurement are dimensionless. To use the data in the .tsv and .npy files: 1. Clone the GitHub repositories https://github.com/michaelfaulkner/super-aLby (commit hash 1c014ca) and https://github.com/michaelfaulkner/xy-type-models (commit hash 95093aa) to your local working directory. 2. Follow the installation instructions in each README. 3. Create a directory entitled bc4_output in your local working directory. 4. Download this directory and add its contents to bc4_output. 5.
