This repository contains numerical simulation data from a study on the influence of composite wrinkle defect geometry on compressive strength. It was conducted at the University of Bristol under the EPSRC funded Doctoral Training Programme (grant reference no. EP/L504919/1). It is in support of the paper "A numerical study on the influence of composite wrinkle defect geometry on compressive strength" by Ningbo Xie, Robert A. Smith, Supratik Mukhopadhyay and Stephen R. Hallett, published in Materials and Design (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.matdes.2017.11.034). Folder content: 1. Data_OpenAccess.xlsx 2. Figure9_10.csv 3. Figure12.csv 4. Figure14_17.csv 5. Figure19.csv Files are in MicroSoft Excel and CSV format. 1. Data_OpenAccess.xlsx contains 4 sheets, one for figure 9&10, one for figure 12, one for figure 14-17, and the last one for figure 19. 2. The CSV format files are the separate files of the data listed in each sheet of the Excel file. Each sheet/file has data of the controlled parameters, varied parameters and predicted failure stress in units of MPa.
