Guide to understand dataset Microsoft Windows is required to make used of the data, as well as Stata version 16 or higher and NVivo version 12 or higher. The data represented answers of three rounds of questionnaires. The questionnaires contained close- and open-ended questions, which were analysed separately. The dataset for this study contains the following folders: • Folder Ethics • Folder Data library • Folder Raw data • Folder Processed data The ‘Ethics’ folder contains the two PDF's: the form submitted to the ethics committee (which includes a blank version of the participant consent form) and the ethics committee approval letter. The ‘Data library’ folder contains two CSV documents describing the variables contained in other folders. • An Excel document named ‘Data library for foodgroups_foods_rounds123’ must be used to understand the variables in the documents: ‘foodgroups_foods_round1’, ‘foodgroups_foods_round2’, and ‘foodgroups_foods_round3’. These documents, which were used to analyse close-ended questions, can be found in the folder ‘Raw data’. • An Excel document named ‘Data library for coded_openended_questions’ must be used to understand the variables for open-ended questions in the document ‘coded_openended_questions’, which can be found in the folder ‘Processed data’. The ‘Processed data’ folder contains the following documents: • An Excel document ‘coded_openended_questions’, which coded all open-ended questions present in the questionnaire used. This was the document used to obtain the results present in the thesis/article. The raw (non-coded) version of this answers can be found in ‘Transcript_openended_questions’ in the ‘Raw data’ folder. • Three Stata documents (delphi_1, delphi_2, delphi_3). These were created from the ‘foodgroups_foods_round1’, ‘foodgroups_foods_round2’, and ‘foodgroups_foods_round3’ CSV documents present in the ‘Raw data’ folder. • Four Stata dofiles containing the syntax used to obtain the Stata documents present in this same folder. The dofiles titled ‘dofile_analyses_round1’, ‘dofile_analyses_round2’, and ‘dofile_analyses_round3’ were used to clean the data; the ‘dofile_analyses_allrounds’ was used to obtain the results present in the thesis/article. If you would like TO REPLICATE ANALYSES, PLEASE RUN THE DOFILES TO CLEAN THE DATA FIRST, AND THEN RUN THE DOFILE ‘dofile_analyses_allrounds’. • One NVivo document titled ‘NVivo_openended_questions’, where all the open_ended questions present in the questionnaire were coded. This was the document used to understand what participants referred to as ‘traditional Mexican’. The ‘Raw data’ folder contains: • A Word document ‘Transcript_openended_questions’ contining the open-ended questions before these were coded for analysis • Three CSV documents (‘foodgroups_foods_round1’, ‘foodgroups_foods_round2’, and ‘foodgroups_foods_round3’), which were the original answers to close-ended questions.
