This deposit includes flood hazard data for Mozambique, Malawi and Madagascar based on the Fathom flood hazard model version 3.0. 

Each country is stored in an individual folder Mozambique (MOZ), Madagascar (MAD) and Malawi (MWI)

Each flood hazard map is a GeoTiff containing the depth of water, which can be read by any standard GIS software package. Files are named according to their latitude and longitude location and their return period.

The hazard maps for each country are compressed into a single zip file for each simulated return period. For example the 100 year flood hazard maps for Malawi are stored as

The naming indicated that this is from a GLOBAL flood model, at 1 ARC SECOND resolution including FLUVIAL flooding without any account of flood defence (UNDEFENDED) for the climate as of 2020.

All file names are the same except for changing return periods. The return period available are:

1 in 5 year
1 in 10 year
1 in 20 year
1 in 50 year
1 in 100 year
1 in 200 year
1 in 500 year
1 in 1000 year

The data can be opened on any operating system.
