Biomimetic Active Touch with Tactile Fingertips and Whiskers

EPSRC grant on tactile superresolution sensing (EP/M02993X/1).

The following data was obtained from 3 different tactile sensors and 2 different experiments for each, as described below:

  • BIOTACT whisker array - speed and distances
  • BIOTACT whisker array - curvature and horizontal positions
  • iCub fingertip - curvature and horizontal positions
  • iCub fingertip - texture and depths
  • TacTip - curvature and horizontal positions
  • TacTip - gap width and depths
