Cold-Formed Steel Built-up Columns Database V2

The second version of the cold-formed steel built-up columns database (CFS_BCDatabase.V2) includes results of axial compression tests of 1037 CFS open, closed, and half-closed cross sections tested under various boundary conditions, material and sectional properties, fastener spacing, and failure modes. In this updated version, additional recently published experimental results have been included. Moreover, critical local buckling half-wavelengths of single sections, built-up sections, and critical distortional buckling half-wavelengths of single sections have also been added. This database (CFS_BCDatabase.V2) supersedes the previous published first version at Doi: https://doi.org/10.5523/bris.ixpnzg7pr6mn20w5xrqqvz455 Design parameters such as elastic critical local, distortional, and global buckling stresses, slenderness ratios, and results of Direct Strength Method (DSM) equations for each section are also computed and stored in the database. The database is to be used as a source to assess the buckling strength curves of the DSM and modified DSM equations suggested by researchers and can assist academics and practitioners in analysing, designing, and creating data-driven models of CFS built-up columns.
