The Healthlines trials were two linked randomised controlled trials of an intervention to use telehealth resources to support self-management of chronic disease. The intervention was tested in two exemplar patient groups: those with depression (the Healthlines depression trial) and those with raised cardiovascular risk because of combinations of risk factors such as hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidaemia and smoking (the Healthlines CVD risk trial). The treatment adherance data is published in a separate record (Christopher Salisbury, Daisy Gaunt (2023): Healthlines depression trial treatment adherence data. https://doi.org/10.5523/bris.2a4pzrrszb3aq2qgslgnzhtmwu).
