Genome-wide association study of lifetime smoking index in a sample of 462,690 individuals from the UK Biobank

This study is a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of lifetime smoking index (a composite of smoking initiation, heaviness, duration and cessation) in a sample of 462,690 individuals (both smokers and non-smokers) from the UK Biobank. This identified 126 genome-wide significant, independent SNPS.
