Readme for PGOPHER downloads

Please see the known problems page for any issues affecting the current version

The available files are:

pgopher.exe, the windows executable
pgopher.chm, the windows help file
slave.exe, the windows executable for the Slave Editor
pgopher-i386-Linux.tgz contains executables for 32 bit Linux machines.
For pgopher-MacOSX-i386.app.zip compiled for Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) and above. please see the alpha directory under development versions
Availble on request: pgopher-MacOSX-powerpc.app.zip compiled for powerPC (older style MAC's) for OS X Tiger (10.4) and above.
The commandline directory contains command line versions of PGOPHER.
pgopher_source_vx.y.z.zip, the source code for the program
pgopher_help_vx.y.z.zip, all the online help in html format. (The contents are the same as the .chm file.) The online version will be similar, but may contain a few essential updates.
compile.patch , if present, contains essential changes for compiling from source. It is not required if you are just running the .exe file.
