Column and Row numbers are consistent with the orginal SRTM naming convention. The naming convention for each tile is BEST_version number_column_row.tif (eg. BEST_v1_01_02.tif). BEST is an ancoynm for Bare-Earth Srtm Terrian. Each geotiff is georeferenced and compressed to the LZW standard. The geotiffs were created using Matlab and have been opened successful in Matlab, ArcGIS and QGIS. ************************************************************************************************* ************************************************************************************************* Disclamer: Voids can be found throughout the dataset, the authors recommend the users use a filtering method before using the dataset.
